Ethnopark planned in the north of the Krasnoyarsk Territory

A large-scale tourism project is planned to be implemented in the north of the Krasnoyarsk Territory: an ethnopark with an area of 300 thousand square meters.

The project involves the development of tourist routes in the Arctic zone, the construction of a recreation center which will work all year round. Travelers will be able to get acquainted with the flora and fauna of the Arctic, visit a deer farm, a boat station, as well as try the dishes of the northern peoples.

Robotic festival in Krasnoyarsk

From February 13 to February 15, the All-Russian Robotics Championship will be held in Krasnoyarsk.

Presentations of projects and robot races will be held daily at the Siberia International Exhibition and Business Center. This year, the theme of the robotic season is urban development. The championship will be attended by 1,500 students from 70 cities of Russia, Kazakhstan, Estonia and Romania.

The grand opening will take place on February 13 at 18.00. Guests of the championship will enjoy an interactive performance, a drum show, a "performance" of Samoyeds, a drone dance under the Kalinka, and Robert Robot will be one of the co-hosts.

Admission to championship events is free.

Krasnoyarsk is preparing for the world Junior Curling Championship

World Junior Curling Championships will be held in Krasnoyarsk in Crystal Ice Arena from 15 to 22 February 2020.

Competitions of such level take place in Russia for the second time. Last time Junior Championships were held in Sochi in 2013 before the Olympic Games. The decision about the World Junior Curling Championships 2020 to be delivered in Krasnoyarsk was made after the Winter Universiade 2019.

20 teams from 15 countries, such as Russia, Canada, USA, Denmark, Sweden, Switzerland, Scotland, Norway, Latvia, Italy, Germany, New Zealand, Republic of Korea, Hungary, Japan will participate in the Championships. Russia National Team will try to defend their current status of champions at this home competitions.

"Stolby" officially received the status of a national park

On December 4, Russian Prime Minister Dmitry Medvedev signed a decree on changing the status of the reserve Stolby - now it is the national park of the Krasnoyarsk Territory.

"Stolby" is a Russian strict nature reserve located 10 km south of the city of Krasnoyarsk, on the northwestern spurs of the Eastern Sayan Mountains.
The park was founded in 1925 by citizens the picturesque Syenite Buttes and surrounding rocky landscape. The area of nature reserve is 47,219 hectares. Stolby has been nominated to be on the list of UNESCO World Heritage Sites.

Krasnoyarsk Territory 85 years

Krasnoyarsk Territory will celebrate 85 years in 2019. The region appeared on December 7 in 1934 and united a tenth of the country's territory, became its pillar in the development of Siberian riches.

Krasnoyarsk Territory is the second largest region of the Russian Federation, located on an area of 2366.8 thousand square kilometers.

The design of the Universiade in Krasnoyarsk received the European Product Design Award

On the website of the European Product Design Award published a list of winners. Artstyle design group (Krasnoyarsk city) received the gold award of The European Product Design Award for the development and implementation of the project "Image of The Winter Universiade 2019". The project included the development of the main attributes: the torch, the chalice of fire, the design of medals, and the design of all sports facilities, the airport and other public places.

Krasnoyarsk to hold stages of FIS Freestyle Ski World Cup

In March of 2020, Krasnoyarsk will hold stages of the FIS Freestyle Ski World Cup. The Aerials and Moguls competitions will be held at the courses of Sopka Cluster, one of the Winter Universiade 2019 sports venues.

According to the Calendar of the International Ski Federation (FIS), Russia will hold six stages of the FIS Freestyle World Cup—Aerials, Moguls and Ski-Cross. First stages of the World Cup will be held in January of 2020 when Moscow and Saint-Petersburg will host two stages of Aerials. In February, Chelyabinsk Region will be the place of Ski-Cross stages of the World Cup and the final stages will be held on 7 and 8  March in Krasnoyarsk.

The World Championship will be hosted in world-class venues in the iconic cities of Moscow, Saint Petersburg, Kaliningrad, Krasnoyarsk, Kazan, Yekaterinburg, Ufa and Novosibirsk ensuring that the World Championship touches all of Russia, and leaves a positive volleyball legacy for the country and regions. Two further host cities will be announced within the next year.
